I fly paragliders, and I work on safety in the air and on security in computing.
In free flight I work on safety and airspace. I sit on the boards of FIVL, the Italian free flight federation, of EHPU and of Europe Air Sports, responsible for safety. At EASA I am a member of the Drones Community Steering Group of the Stakeholders Advisory Body, and for the European Commission I sit on the Expert Group on Drones and Innovative Air Mobility of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE). As an expert at CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, I help draft the EN standards for paragliding equipment.
By trade I am Head of Engineering and Group CISO at LibraCyber, which brings together Libraesva and Cyber Guru and aims to become Europe’s leading cybersecurity vendor, from email protection to security awareness training. Earlier in my career I worked in experimental avionics, terrestrial and satellite communications, smart TV, process control, industrial automation, networking and clinical research. I have told the whole story on a separate page.
When I am not flying I hike, kayak, sail and dive. You can find me on LinkedIn.
